Starch performance, specified sector by sector
Eight industrial sectors, each with a different definition of what a good starch is. We select and adjust grades against the performance target of your line.

Sector 01
Paper & Packaging
Pregelatinized grades are applied at the size press and in coating colours to raise surface strength, improve printability and reduce fibre loss. Wet-end addition improves internal bond without slowing drainage.

Sector 02
Food & Beverage
Clean-tasting starches that thicken, stabilise and add body without masking flavour. Cold-soluble grades let instant products build texture with hot water only, and modified grades hold up through retort.

Sector 03
Pharmaceutical
Used as a binder, disintegrant and diluent in solid dosage forms. Tight control of moisture, microbiology and heavy metals allows the material to sit inside validated manufacturing processes.

Sector 04
Textile
Warp sizing that improves yarn strength and reduces breakage on the loom, then desizes cleanly. Film flexibility keeps abrasion resistance high through weaving.

Sector 05
Adhesives
High tack and fast setting for corrugating and laminating. Cold-soluble grades cut the cooking stage entirely, reducing energy consumption and simplifying the glue kitchen.

Sector 06
Cosmetics & Personal Care
A natural alternative to talc and synthetic polymers, giving oil absorption, a soft-focus finish and a silky skin feel in dry and emulsified formats.

Sector 07
Animal Feed
Pellet binding that improves durability index and reduces fines during handling and transport, while pregelatinisation raises starch digestibility in young animals and aquafeed.

Sector 08
Industrial Manufacturing
Used as a binder, thickener, flocculation aid and process aid where a biodegradable, plant-derived material is preferred to a synthetic equivalent.
